Fancy Dress Anyone? [Open To All!]

Kaylei sat swingin g her legs on the edge of her grand table waiting for the first few people to arive. She had put posteres around the school and hoped a lot of people would come. Her parents were out of town for the night and they had even trusted her not to need a Nanny. Having promised that the house would be in one piece when they got back she was allowed to have a birthday party. Provided there was no alcohol. What they didn't know was that she had a whole collection of varius bottles in her bedroom which were now in the large dining room in one long line. Kaylei bit her lip - she still had ten minutes. She hoped there would be a variety of costumes. She had picked jobs because it would work for everyone. Her own costume was an army girl costume, her job being the army. But she knew there would be Doctors and Nurses, Pirates and Ninjas, Clowns and possibly even some air hostesses. Brilliant!

Alex had used his thin body to his advantage and come as something very small. A pickpocket. Of course, modern day pickpockets didn't generally go around dressed as Oliver Twist, but what fun was coming to a fancy dress party as something that didn't dress up? Alex walked through the open door and found Kaylei immediately sitting on the table. He grinned and handed over a very pretty necklace to her. One he knew she'd had her eye on for some time. He pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and whispered Happy Birthday in her ear before moving off to allow the streams of people to walk in. And there were streams of people. Nearly everyone from Sky High was there. The only problem was that Alex would have to leave a little early and not drink so that he could get back to Joe. They had got a babysitter - but Alex was never one to trust someone else with his little brother.

Jace, having seen the posters advertising Kaylei's birthday party, had decided to come along, for a laugh if anything else. He smirked at his costume, although it wasn't really a costume, he had merely transformed into the male ninja he had seen on the internet. He walked through the door and smiled at Kaylei, "Happy Birthday," he said, passing her a bottle of champagne. Eyeing Alex, he made his way over to him and placed his hands over his eyes. "Guess who?" he whispered in the boy's ear.
