Transforming [open]

"It's not very good in a fight," he chuckled. Looking back at Jace he bit his lip, "Your father...?" he prompted, ignoring Jace's obvious discomfort. It was going to come out sooner or later. So what was it? He stretched out his arms stealing one on Jace's fries and grinning and he put it in his mouth.

Jace chuckled, "No i guess not." He watched as Alex stole one of his fries and fake growled, "Get your own food theif!" He ignored the question about his father; he had said too much anyway. Talking led to connections, connections led to relationships, and relationships led to pain. Idle small talk, that was fine, but not anything personal.

Alex chuckled and stole another one, just for the fun. "I'd like super strength or super speed. Not super hearing." He sighed and yawned, it was getting late. His side hurt from the ink and his back hurt from the floor. But it was all on a day's work.

Jace smirked, "Awww sleeping beauty, are you getting tired again? Didn't the handsome prince kiss you awake?" He chuckled and ate another handful of fries, still not quite satisfied. Well once Alex had gone he would go for another hunt, without any distractions.

Alex bowed his head and blushed. "I don't see any handsome princes around here," he said simply getting up from his chair and walking over to the bin to throw his packet away. He sat back down at the table, still confused. But it was too late to worry now. He sighed and watched Jace finish his food.

Jace gasped in mock hurt and 'humpfed'. "Well if that's what you think, i'll just take my leave." He stood up as if about to go then sat back down again, ruffling Alex's hair, "Only joking." He stuffed the last fries into his mouth and leant back, placing his arms behind his head, "So how's the tattoo feeling?" he asked, staring at the spot on Alex's hip where he knew it was.

Alex shrugged, "It's okay, it's not stinging as much now. Just thinking about what to get next," he said smiling. He would never go as far as to have as many as Nick or Jace, but to have more than one would be nice. Even though it had hurt so much. Alex stood up as a lady came over to usher them out. It was finally closing time and they were being pushed out onto the street. "Well, where would you like to go now?" Alex asked, stepping out into the cold.

Jace smirked and shrugged his shoulders, "I don't mind. Shall we go to the park?" he asked, his eyes flashing with excitment. He wrapped his arm around Alex's waist and pulled him closer, walking off in the direction of the path. "Well isn't it a beautiful evening?" he said, looking up at the cloudless sky. There were flashes of light from the stars, and the nearly full moon shone bright. He smiled, he loved evening like this. Cold, clear and beautiful.

Alex nodded and leant his head against Jace's shoulder as they walked. "It is," Alex said quietly. Jace was right, the night air felt wonderful against his skin. Even though it was cold Alex seemed to be immune to it. He was unusually warm, it was lovely. "Do you come here often?" he asked, not meaning it to sound like a cheesy chat-up line. Even if that's the way it sounded.

Jace snorted, "Is that your version of a chat up line?" he joked, nudging Alex with his elbow. He smiled and nodded, "Every day. Well every chance i get. It helps me to clear my mind and forget - " he stopped himself again. What was it about Alex that made him want to tell his life story?! 'You're an idiot to think you can trust anyone,' he thought, repeating his father's words to himself. He would just have to be extra careful.

Alex chuckled lightly and hooked his arm in Jace's. "Who needs chat-up lines?" he smirked. He smiled at Jace, "You don't have to hide everything. I won't tell anyone," he said quietly, but still smiling. He turned as they reached the park, the moon shone through the trees beautifully, "It's good to be able to trust people,"

Jace smirked, "True, true." He shook his head, "No, it doesn't matter." He smiled and kissed Alex's cheek, before turning off down a little path. "There's a wonderful place just around the corner. There's a bench which is dedicated to my great grandfather," he said, his pace quickening slightly. It was his favourite place in the whole park, somewhere where he felt a strange connection.

Alex frowned slightly but followed Jace anyway, "What did he do to deserve a bench?" Alex asked, smiling slightly. He jugged to catch up with Jace's fast pace. "Was he rich? or did he do something good?" he asked looking up at Jace. It was strange, he was already close to the other boy, but he hadn't even known him a day. Maybe Alex was the one that trusted too easily.

Jace laughed, "No he never did anything good, he was just really rich. He helped to set up this park, i think." He sat down on the bench, pulling Alex down with him. "See," he said, pointing to a little plaque on the bench. "'Dedicated to Michael Jace, a fine member of our community,' pretty cool, eh?" he said, smirking at Alex. He ran his hand over the wood of his arm, feeling the notches underneath which he had craved into the wood.

Alex smiled and slipped onto Jace's lap. "Maybe one day I'll get a bench," he smirked running his fingers over the plaque, "But for being good. I'd never have one for being rich." He leant back against the boy behind him and sighed. He would never be rich. Not a chance, his parents weren't exactly poor, but they were far from anything else. He had saved every penny he had received from them. But he was still expected to pay his school fees, his mothers doctors fees and any bills that came across him without a proper job. It was hard work.

Jace chuckled, "Maybe for services to the local...people?" he said, kissing the boy's neck. He wrapped his arms around Alex's waist and leant his head against Alex's shoulder blade. He remembered Alex's tattoo and shifted his arms slightly, so that he wasn't putting any pressure on it. "Beautiful evening with a beautiful boy," he murmured, more to himself than Alex.

Alex chuckled turning his head to look at the boy he was sitting on, "I couldn't agree more," Alex whispered, placing a kiss on his cheek. Turning his body he straddled Jace's lap and grinned. He pushed his lips gently on the other boy's lips. He felt a little odd - making out with the bench's great grandson. But it couldn't be helped.

Jace chuckled and kissed Alex back, sliding his tongue between the boy's mouth. He ran his hand up Alex's back, twisting his fingers in his hair. He moaned quietly, deepening the kiss. He hoped that Alex and him would be able to do this again.

Alex pulled away and looked at his watch, it was almost midnight. Time for wolves to come out. He smirked as he remembered that Jace had been a wolf the first time they had come across each other. "So...can you become anything?" he asked, wondering what Jace looked like as a little kitten or something out of a story book.

Jace chuckled, "Yes, anything that i can imagine in my head. Why?" he asked, still twirling Alex's hair around his fingers. He raised his eyebrow at Alex and cocked his head to the side, wondering what Alex might ask him to do.

Alex bit his lip, "Can you turn into...a...monkey? like a squirrel monkey. I've always wanted one of those," Alex smiled as he shifted off Jace's lap and sat on the bench. He doubted Jace would agree to becoming something so cute and fluffy, but it was always worth a try, if not he could always ask for a puppy.

Jace snorted, "A squirrel monkey?! You've got to be kidding me! Can't you think of anything better? Like a dragon or a unicorn or something?" He ruffled Alex's hair playfully then transformed into a tiny squirrel monkey. He jumped up onto Alex's shoulder and played with his hair. He transformed back and chuckled, "Happy?"

Alex chuckled as the monkey turned into a human, "Very," he smiled placing a kiss on the boy's neck, "I didn't think you could do dragons...thought they were a bit above you," he said testily.

Jace snorted, "A bit above me?! You really need to meet my father," he said, shaking his head. He smirked then jumped up, moving away from Alex. "Watch this!" he said, his voice gleeful. He pictured the dragon he had once seen in a movie, a beautiful emerald green dragon with large wings and firey breath. Moments later, he transformed into the very beast. He snorted, a roll of steam coming out of his mouth as his amber eyes stared down at Alex.

Alex smiled at the dragon, he was beautiful. Cautiously Alex reached up and placed a hand on the scaly skin. "Can you fly?" he asked the dragon, not expecting a human response. But it was out of curiosity. He wondered what the city lights looked like from the sky, he had never been higher than a multi-story building before. His flat. He would walk to the top floor, via the stairs, every night to watch the sun go down. That is, if the wasn't out with other people. It was beautiful from there, but what about higher?
