Guess Who's Back? [Open]

It had been a long time since Nick had set foot in Amnesia, not least because he'd been away from town for so long. Even when he'd been here, he and Alex had been confined to their home by Joe, who was becoming increasingly demanding, though still adorable in every way. Nick saw him more as a son now, than a little brother, and his parents had been so eager to meet the new member of the Foxx family.

They'd been delighted with Alex, once they'd got over the fact that their son was officially gay; they'd always suspected bisexuality but never truly thought he'd settle down with a man. All in all, the trip back home couldn't have gone better. Of course, there was the odd row when Mrs Foxx became very broody and overprotective, and Mr Foxx had to intervene for Nick's sake, but in general it had been ten million times better than Nick had expected. So much better, in fact, that he'd stayed on with them for a few weeks. He had missed his parents, and all the people he knew who lived near there - aunties, uncles, cousins... Being with Alex and Joe had reminded him so much of how important family ought to be. It also made him realise that if he wanted a family who cared, he had to care about them; he'd always just assumed his family were cold and calculating, just out to get money, and that he would be just the same, but Alex had proved him wrong on that front.

So now he was standing in Amnesia, feeling like he'd come back home. It wasn't that he was avoiding Alex and Joe, but he'd been stuck in the country estate for so long that he just needed to feel some nightlife. He wasn't even going to drink, he just wanted to be in the atmosphere of the place. He'd go home shortly, but right now he simply wanted his heart to beat in time to the pounding music, and dance until he literally sweated his shirt off. He crossed to the bar and ordered a bottle of water, much to the landlady's surprise. He drank it almost in one, then dived into the mass of people in the middle of the room, instantly becoming the centre of attention for whatever reason people chose. Yes, this was home. But deep in his heart, he missed his fiancé.

It had been a long afternoon, Nick had escaped the mass of unpacking and washing because Alex had promised his boyfriend anything he wanted when they returned. This was just the start. After that Alex had been caught up in a mass of phone calls, booking Nick in for a few more photo shoots - which had built up since he had been away - and even one for Alex, much to his surprise. He had agreed, of course, but it was only a tester. Nothing spectacular. Then, at a last minute attempt to actually escape the flat that night, Alex had caught up with a babysitter for Joe; and with a quick wardrobe change he was out of the building.

Running he made it to Amnesia in the quickest time he could have probably done it in. Panting slightly he stepped through the door and immediately saw Nick on the dance floor, right in the middle of a group of fawning girls. Alex frowned and, pulling off his jacket and ditching it on a chair, he pushed through the crowed of people and stood behind his boyfriend, much to the dismay of the girls - who obviously thought Nick was available. "Boo," he whispered in the boy's ear as his hands slid up the slightly sweaty shirt that was covering the multi-coloured chest he had seen hundreds of times before. Yet it still left him in awe every time he saw it.

Nick jumped and turned at the sound of his boyfriend's voice and grabbed him around the waist, lifting him up in the air and dancing with him. Yes, some people scowled, but most just danced along with them, happy to see two people so in love. He really was in love with Alex, and it did show. Never before had he been so willing to show affection publicly. Sure, he'd done a lot more than kiss and cuddle in public before, but it had never been so affectionate. He'd never kissed anyone as slowly as he kissed Alex. "It's good to be back," he murmured, kissing Alex's cheek and pouring what was left of his water over his boyfriend's head.

Alex gasped as the cold water trickled down his neck and into his shirt, "You could have warned me," he muttered as he stood up properly and kissed Nick back tenderly, wrapping his arms around the other boy's neck as they danced together. He pulled away from the kiss and turned his back on Nick, biting his lip as he received a particularly nasty death glare from a blonde in the corner of the room. He flashed her his ring cheekily as he leant his head back on Nick's shoulder and nipped his neck.

The blonde girl came over to them, nostrils flaring and eyes like daggers. "You are a skank," she said to Nick, then added to Alex, "And you're a slut."
Nick snorted. "You'd know all about that, wouldn't you?"
"Just because you want me, Nicholas Foxx!" she shouted, and stormed off. Nick just laughed and kissed Alex deeply, enjoying the feeling of the whole crowd throbbing and Alex's slightly damp torso against his own. There hadn't been much opportunity for this at the Foxx mansion, save for some hurried sexual acts in the dead of night when it was guaranteed that Nick's parents were either asleep or doing the same. Nick didn't like rushing. He liked to be vigorous, and he liked to be fast, but that didn't mean the same thing as quick. The blonde girl was almost out of sight, but she hadn't left the club yet. Not that Nick cared much - he was far too preoccupied with Alex's lips.

Alex bit his lip as he looked towards the girls retreating back. He turned back to Nick as he felt their lips join again. He smiled up at the other boy just as a slow song began to blare out over the speakers. Alex dropped his arms and began to move off the dance floor. He knew what Nick was like with slow songs. It didn't matter, it was only two minutes anyway. Alex bit his lip as he tried to move out of the way of all the dancing couples.

Nick followed Alex quickly, and grabbed his hand before he could disappear too far. "You know I hate them, but let's try dancing, hmm?" he whispered before sharply turning Alex to face him, and holding his hand as if they were about to waltz. His other hand slipped down to rest on Alex's hip, and he held his boyfriend close, kissing the top of his head and breathing in the smell of his hair. He stepped from foot to foot in time to the slow music, just as every other couple was doing. It'd be over in a minute. Just one minute.

Alex turned a deep shade of red as he slipped his arm around Nick's neck. As always, Nick had stunned him with his out of the blue choice. First the tattoo, then adopting Joe, then getting married and now dancing to slow music. What would come next? Alex smiled up at his boyfriend as they swayed in time to the music. He slipped his hand out of Nick's and brought it up to join his other. So they were just the same as everyone else. They were, for once, normal. It was wonderful. Alex stopped swaying for a moment to lean forward and kiss Nick slowly and tenderly on the lips. "I love you," he whispered as he pulled away, glad they could hold a conversation in the club without having to shout.

"I love you too," he whispered, but it was drowned out by the thud of bass that snapped back in the second the slow song finished. Everyone in the club screamed as they recognised the song, and Nick smiled almost apologetically at Alex before he jumped once again into the thick of it, trying to keep hold of Alex's hand in the crowd. He just loved to feel bodies surrounding him, and he jumped in time with everyone, shouting the lyrics out and letting people rub against him by accident, with a mutual agreement not to fight. Someone grabbed hold of his shirt as they slipped, and the thin t-shirt ripped, showing off Nick's painted chest. It didn't make much difference whether he had a shirt on or not, considering the amount of ink there was covering him. The guy who had grabbed him fell to the floor with a laugh, and everyone helped in pulling him back to his feet - once they'd finished admiring Nick's tattoos, of course.

Alex tried to hold onto Nick's hand for as long as he could, but there were far too many people around and the boy's hand soon slipped away as a group of people moved between them. Smiling, Alex moved out of the crowd and over to the bar where he got himself a diet coke. Looking around he noticed someone staring at him from the corner of the room. He turned away quickly and tried not to think about it. But he could almost feel the person's eyes burning into his back. He just wished the song would end or Nick would come out for another drink. He didn't feel safe.
