Service with a smile (Faith + Open)

The Jazz whole was about to open Edward had aquired a job there with the first few days of his arrival in Maxville. After all who wouldn't want him, He was handy with the glasses, he could play piano, and sing, only slightly but sing none the less, that and the fact he too could play the gitar electric and norm. Making his way into the back entrace, he slipped into the locker rooms, where by his locker he changed into his work outfit. That being a shirt, a bow tie, black trousers and shoes, to go with the whole Jazz look and feel further more Faith too had started working here, and had been much to his suprise working here for many years. They had just been on diffrent shifts. With a new term and holidays, the shifts they had now were more or less shared. It would be thier first actual night on a shift together since the change.

Faith came inside from the rain, putting down her black umbrella and cream mac, placing the umbrella in the corner and her coat on the peg, she walked in ready. Her hair normal, pressed away from her eyes and hung slowly over her shoulders, she wore a black shirt that was fitted and stopped just at her large bust then opened, with a black pencil skirt and white pinafore around her wait, where she had her pad and pen, with her normal bright working smile. She said hello to the manager and started to set the tables out, wondering who was out the back.

once done Edward made his way into the main section, he spoted Faith the only waitress that was here, the manger was behind the bar setting up the till and sorting out the listings for tonight preformance. Edward made his way around the bar, and idly watched Faith. The manger left the bar and Edward then gave a low wolf whistle loud enough for her to hear. "Oi Georgous!" Edward called and chuckled softly, waiting to see her reaction.

Twirling around on her black stilettos she smiled, slightly shocked to see Edward staining in the working attire, "Well, well, I think this is called stalking now." She mused before she finished laying the second table, only about 30 more to go. It was due to open in a few minutes, "Care to help me?" She asked as she then moved to another table and laid it quicker than before, as the manager got up and out of the room she webbed the knifes and scattered them into the correct, perfect places along with the knifes. She smirked to herself, it worked propally and hadn't dropped any. "Well, that worked, now the glasses and then candles."

Edward grinned "Are you sure it's not the other way around?" He mused then with his own power as he worked behind the bar, many knifes and forks rose into the air, and even as he turned his back re stacking shelfs of glasses, they moved to tables and landed on each one swiftly. He then moved to the ice shaker and shook it lightly before he emptied the old bits and put fresh ice cubes in it. "I didn't actually expect that we'd ever really work on the same shift." He mused looking over to her as he checked the taps and drink pumps.

"Well, looks like we are. And I have been working here for 2 years now," She added with a soft smile on her lips, "you weren't here then," She added with a small laugh, "could you do that with the glasses and candles?" She asked fluttering her eyelashes towards him before her heels hit the floor as she wiggled her hips as she headed towards Edward and leant over the bar, grabbing her pad and looking through the old orders ripping them up and curling it in her hand, to a small ball before chucking it into the bin behind the bar. "Well, it's raining so I think it's going to be a busy night, lots of people to impress, I never thought you would work somewhere like here, what do you do then? Sing, dance?" She teased, before she then pushed her hair over her shoulders as it laid neatly.

"I only started working here the beginning of the year." He added now resting on the bar idly, with a small roll of his eyes, the candles and glasses rose and filled to each table landing neatly he then watched Faith as she came over and lent near her as she looked threw the many old orders. "Dance?" He chuckled "No way, I can sing alittle, I play the piano and gitar and I juggle glasses pretty well" He smiled then looked past her, he waved a hand out and each single candle lit swiftly and blazed with energy. "So what to you do? other then waitress?" He asked curiously, he had never know Faith to sing, or dance. "And also, I never actually thought i'd get a job at all, but it's worth it, that little extra money, I also have another job ready for the summer holidays."

"Well, I sing actually, I can play guitar but they think my singing is too good to be drowned out by my guitar playing," She mused as she then pressed her lips together as she then stepped up onto the stage and fixed the mic, making sure it would work for the night ahead. "So you play the piano! and sing? Wow, I would never have guessed that, well, what is your other job then? Is working here not good enough?" She asked as leant against the piano, slipping on the lid so that she could show off her slim, smooth legs.

He followed her as she moved over to the piano. He then made his way up onto the stage after her, glancing over her generous view she provided him with. "It's nothing but it's extra money it's down at the loca stables, being some stable hand grooming the horses and fixing up bits here and there." He then moved around to the piano keys and sat at the pinao he played a few notes, and nodded "needs a tiny bit of tuning up, but other then that's it's fine." He grinned then cracked his fingers and broke into the sudden song of fur elise.

"Stables, wow, we are a talented man. You better not steal all the limelight tonight or there will be all hell to pay," She smirked with a small wink, running her tongue over her lips before she then pulled back and smiled sweetly to the manager who treated her very much like a daughter as she noticed the queue of people waiting outside the door, "I shall see you at the break?" She asked with a smalls smile to Edward she then walked over and undid the door, taking peoples coats and passing them to another young boy, before showing people to their tables and handing them their menus.

"Sure" He grinned then quickly got of the stage and made his way behind the bar with another barman already there. Already people were making their way over to the bar, and Edward begun serving, shaking ice in drinks and flipping and chucking the glasses to the other barman too, as they worked as a team on serving. It was a doss the people behind the bar were easily entertained and it got the service done a lot quicker.

Faith looked to the couple that she was serving but they were too happily amused by Edward's little tricks, shook her head and laughed, "What will you be having to drink?" She asked in a very formal yet soft tone, the man turning back to Faith, One red wine for me. He added in a wondrous tone, "And for the lady?" Faith asked with a beautiful tone back, I shall have the white please. Faith nodded as she jotted down on the pad there drinks, "I shall let you two have a moment longer to look at the menu." Faith added with a large smile before walking over to the bar, "One red and one white to table 20." She added winking to Edward before turning and heading to the door, showing a large group of about 10 in, to the table that had been pre-booked, a party no less.

"Coming right up" He stated as he then did a few more tricks before he then poured one red wine and one white wine." He put them to the side for Faith to deliver as he then continued to serve the other people. He slide the few drinks down the bar and to the waiting customers who grinned and half clapped before they dissapeared many, simply stayed just to watch the entertainment going on behind the bar. The first act was soon introduced a duo, male and female. and there was an old man, late 50's at least who sat at the piano, the song was a power ballard.

First up was a shorter girl, it seemed to be duo night down at the Jazz Hole, she normally was paired with 'Johnny' a tall, thin boy who was amazing at the piano but not so good on the signing front whereas many people favored Faith, some would come down just to listen to her voice as many thought she was talent, but she was just a simple girl, who had no intentions of becoming a star any time soon.

Edward motioned over for Faith "Drinks behid, table 20" He said pointing to the drinks behind the bar, as he was alreayd busy serving someone, a male, whom had started some coversation up. Edward being poliet listend, and nodded where appropiate and too laugh were needed, he put in a few 'I see' in as well as he served the man his drink and continued serving others moments after.

"Thank you very much," She took in the orders from the party and already got a grab on her bump from one male member, she raised her eyebrow as she looked slightly startled but moved on to pick up the drinks and pass them over to the couple with ease as they thanked her and she nodded back out of politeness. She walked over to the bar, "Aright, 2 beers, 2 reds, 3 whites, one coke and two ginger ales." She added before sliding the note onto the clippings, heading back over to the couple to take their meal orders.

Edward heard Faith's order and Edward set about it flipps, catchign and jugling glasses and ice and other bits, with two wine glasses then in each hand he held them as the other bartender filled them. Filling the last white wine up he slipped them to the side and swiftly did the ales and cokes. Within moment he was serving another customer a young woman who had the word 'slut' more or less tattooed over her forheard he took her order and barely payed any attention to her cheesy chut up lines. Cutting her off mid sentence he shouted next. With a dissaproving look from the woman she moved of in a sulk.

Tonight was busy and Faith had been called up to sing, a familiar song from a familiar film. One musical that was world famous; Chicago - 'All That Jazz'. She coughed as she then pushed the pad in her pocket and walked up to the mic as she tossed her hair gently over her shoulder as people looked over a few regulars at the bar and others turned in their seats from their meals, she awaited her duo, whom ever he was, she then stood and smiled to everyone as she heard the piano start.

The manager had then tapped Edward on the shoulder and asked him to get up on stage before his break. Surprised for he had never played on stage for a while, the last time it had been in front of family and friends his Mother and father standign proud. He took his seat at the piano and found the song that the manger had said. He loked over to Faith, she looked beautiful under stage light, as if she was a natural. Glancing over the music he begun to play the beginning of the song.

She cleared her throat as she looked away from the mic and tapped her foot to the beat that Edward was producing, shutting her eyes she placed both her hands around then stand as she then began to sign with a soft, angelic voice that started to go dirtier, sexier as the song increased and her voice started to raise as her confidence grew. And all...that...jazz," She turned to Edward as she took the mic of the stand as people smiled, amazed of the large voice that was coming out of the petite woman, whom was now sitting on the top of the piano as she watched Edward, how his fingers moved so quickly over the keys with no paper or notes required.

Edward continued to play a moment later a voice sounded and he looked up shocked. Faith was singing? He blinked surpised yet he continued to play still ans watched as Faith made her way over to wards him, his feet worked on the piano pedals and his finger moved swiftly over the keys, the crowd was pratically silent as they listended. Edward met Faith's gaze and smiled in ecourgement as he continued to play. The crowd slowly begun to clap along with the beat of the song.

She smirked as she then looked over to the crowd who were watching the marvelous duo and some even started to mumble along to the words as they watched the bright eyed Faith sing along to the song that was known so well. She didn't really need a microphone that her voice was so strong and yet she used it anyway, more or less much like a prop as she held it to her ruby lips, her eyes always falling back to Edward's every time.

Still he continued to play and mouthed along silently to the words to himself, he continued to play, faster and louder as he could to match the scale of her voice, the beat and tune of the song. Perfectly preformed he continued to play swiftly and watched as Faith moved about the stage so naturally, he was surprised she hadn't thought of a career as a singer, he knew she would do wonders, and sell countless records.

She smiled to him as she continued to sing louder until the microphone was being held down near her chest, as she then started to dance along to the song, shaking every now and again and miming the actions to the words, "Find a flask

She held the last note just for a little dramatic effect as she pulled the microphone up and away from her lips as she finished the song with a small smile as she stood up right and nodded, thanking her audience and placing her hand out to show off Edward, winking to him as she then nodded again and people cheered and clapped, was this what it was like for a star? How they felt? The adrenaline pumping through her veins because what ever it was, she felt fantastic.

Edward finally ended the song and grinned to Faith at the sudden wonderful voice he then under her showing off, stood lightly and bowed briefly, it was now thier break, there was another act waiting to come on stage with a gently chuckle he took Faith's hand and pulled her off left of the stage. He then headed out the back door to get some fresh air, even considering the bins. He grinned to Faith "You were fantastic, why don't you take up singing? you really should"
