Gentle Relaxation [open]

She felt her body freeze, like she had been stabbed in her guts but she looked to Alex and nodded, every movement she made felt like she was being stabbed. "Of course, he's not my property," She said slowly as her lips soon snapped shut and pursed together as her eyes glowered onto the floor. Maybe Edward was gay? Normally all the good looking boys were gay and he was totally gorgeous, totally stunning as she shut her eyes and groaned, before laying back, "Sidekick support next," She whispered slowly, she didn't want to talk about Edward anymore, it only got her low or annoyed.

Alex nodded slowly, "What's it like - being a sidekick? I've heard it's pretty hard work." He had got the hint about Edward - but later he would bring it up again. Just to prove his point. But aside from that he had always wondered what Sidekicks did in their lessons. Destin was to embarrassed to ever tell him, but now he was a Hero so it didn't matter. But Alex was still curious. Beside from following the Hero everywhere - what did they actually do?

"I need Support because I cant control my power and it's very irritating to say the least," She muttered darkly under her breath as she let her eyes wander before sitting up and pulling her bare legs to her chest as she shut her eyes as her eyes looked up to the blissful blue sky, it was beautiful, so calming as she shivered slowly from the slow breeze blowing under her shirt. "Basically, we just get told how to control our powers," She shrugged and looked to Alex slowly, her eyes were mesmerizing in the sunlight.

"Ah, don't worry I'm sure you'll be able to pull up to the hero classes soon," He said with a smile. A few people had managed it. He sometimes wished that his parents had tried harder to become heroes - they remained sidekicks all their lives. Right up to the point where his father was caught in a cross fire with the green goblin and his mother had gone mad with grief - she was in the hospital now, for good. Alex had built up his popularity from scratch. If he had been a sidekick he would have started with nothing and ended with nothing. He sighed and pushed some hair out of his eyes. He had been lucky that he had developed his power so quickly, but he hoped he would get a second power soon. Not everyone got them, just a few. Like Kaylei for example, she started off with accelerated healing and then suddenly one day she became invisible. It was awful to think she could be anywhere - luckily for Alex he was always able to hear her coming.

Edward headed out into the grounds he didn't particually have anything to do for today. With his hands in his pockets he emerged into the surprisingly bright, and warm outside, his emerald green gaze scanned the surroundings birds flew from tree to tree, The many scnets of the approaching summer, lifted his spirits lightly. As he walked his head down he kicked a stone lightly thrusting his hands into his pockets he heard near by voices, glancing up lightly he caught sight of Faith, in reality he wished to lash out, yet it was immature and childlike so he restrained himself. As he walked he caught site of another boy, one he had briefly seen in the cafeteria, with his arm hung loosely around Faith, he frowned not that he minded but he was sure he had seen him with someone else. Eventually knowing he was staring Edward looks away out over the seemingly endless stretch of garden.

"It's him, over there," Faith whispered into Alex's ear as her eyes drifted over his marvelous body and then looked away cursing under his breath about his good looks and wonderful hair that she wanted to run her hand through it. She looked to Alex, pretending she hadn't seen him before she then kissed Alex's cheek in return before looking back to him, "Yes, I hope sometime I will become a hero." She added, a smile lingering on her lips.

Destin stopped dead in his tracks. He had seen Alex and Faith from inside the school and come out to say hello. When right in front of him Faith had turned and kissed Alex. On the cheek admittedly, but it was still Alex. He felt a twinge in his chest as he tried to shake off the awful feeling he had inside. What was happening? Alex kissed girls all the time, and it wasn't like she was going to sway him...was she? No, she couldn't Alex liked boys. Alex liked everything about boys - he hated the drama girls carried with them. Destin bit his lip. Alex liked attention though - from anyone and everyone. He sighed again, briefly wishing that he had been Faith at that moment. Even though he was free to kiss Alex any time he wanted.

Edward glanced around again he caught Faith's kiss of the cheek, again he frowned alittle, who knew what was going on in this place. He felt a small twinge of emotion, Jelousy perhaps? No it couldn't be, He and Faith rarely got on, in fact they never did. Walking on still he caught further moment a boy jsut leavng the school, and seemingly gwaping at Faith and the other boy, Edward's gaze flickered between the two, he noted the one whom had just come from the school had his eye on the other boy. Curiously Edward watched a moment longer in the expression, the look of longing was visible, almost felt Edward couldn't explain why or how, but relationships seemed to be blooming. With one last intrigued lok Edward continued to walk as silently as he could past the possible evident scene.

Faith laid back letting out a groan as she placed her hands on her stomach as she breathed in and out lightly, "I think Destin may be getting the wrong ideas," She whispered as she nodded over to him, gesturing lightly for him to come over with a soft smile on her lips before she looked to Edward, she smiled slightly, the corners of her lips twitching to keep the smile, someone had to make the effort to be nice, it just happened to be Faith this time.

Alex sighed and beckoned Destin over, "Nah, he's used to it," he said with a smile - not noticing Destin's discomfort. "He knows I love him," he said waving for Edward to also join them. He bit his lip, as he turned to look at Destin and the look on his face. He wasn't upset, was he? he couldn't be! It was only a peck on the cheek, nothing more. 'Why do I even care?' Alex thought pushing some hair out of his eyes. 'He doesn't like me like that...does he?'

Destin shook his head at Faith, but the moment Alex asked he was over in a flash. Right by the boy's side. Almost in his lap. He smiled fakely at the two why at all times letting his eyes dart between them checking for eye contact and body language, but there wasn't anything. Not yet. He leant back on his hands semi casually and moved his head as thought he was listening to music. "So...wotcha doing?" he asked.

Edward caught the gesture, he hesitated, if to join or not, taking a chance Edward headed over cautiously. He stopped what to say? Instead he ursed his lips breifly he too previously had caught Faith's smile well seeign as she was being somewhat civilized it wouldn't hurt for him to return the gesture. "Hello." He said in a low, soft yet formal tone. He moved over to Faith, whom was laying on her back, he bent over so his face was blocking her view, and his eyebrows rose "Still alive?" he asked lightly with the sarcastic jib. Although he smiled in turn strained at that but a smile all the same.

"OH, Hello," She whispered under her breath as she widened her eyes slightly, letting out a cool laugh, the brushed over his lips, her smirk soon turning into a smile as she shot a look to Alex, as if she said You made him come over! There was nothing she could do, she couldn't move, his face was close enough, making her feel ever so slightly trapped, it wasn't that bad, after all he smelt wonderful.

Alex grinned at the two of them. He wrapped his thin arms around Destin and pulled him closer. Tracing kisses up the boys neck he hoped he would see that Destin was still Alex's favourite. No one would replace him. He smiled as he returned to the others. "Look at us, it's like a double date," he smirked. He wasn't trying to embarrass Faith, just get her to relax more, to joke around, to not worry so much. Above all to get her to have a casual chat with Edward without arguing or not knowing what to say.

She opened her mouth to say an insult to Alex's double date but instead she just looked away as she shuddered, Why on earth would Edward want to be on a date with Faith? She just gave a causal roll of her blue eyes as she then placed her hand on Edward's shoulder, pushing him back slowly with a small smile, so she could sit up and then Edward could sit next to her if he so wished. Her eyes skimmed over to Destin and Alex, she didn't understand why they just got together? They were good for each other, she thought it was terribly silly.

Edward then moved away from Faith as he was pusheds allowing her to sit up, hesitantly he sat down on the grass and frowned lighlty at the boy, Alex's comment, It wasn't really a double date, he currently didn't have any intention of dating Faith, if they did however date he knew it would be along the lines of love and Hate relationship. He looked down supressing the sudden thoughts. "Not really" he added "Were not going anywhere or doing anything." He replied softly as he looked to the ground his eyes matchign the grass colour where his slightly pale finger tips icked at the grass.

Faith felt her heart sink into her stomach as she gathered her things and slipped them into her bag, pushing her sunglasses properally on top of her head as she sat up, "I should be off," She whispered as she shot a frown to Alex, pushing her tumbling hair over her shoulder before checking she had anything, stifling a yawn slightly as she looked up to the large tree they were sitting under, before nibbling on her lip and pushing her silver charm bracelet back up her pale slender wrist.

Alex pouted like a spoilt child, "Don't go, I'll miss you," he said tugging on her arm quite baby-ish-ly. He had rolled his eyes at Edward's comment, "You don't have to take everything so literally you know, you might be good looking but you don't half have missing people skills," he said, almost tongue-tying his words. He sighed and too ahold of Destin's hand to make him .feel more included. Alex knew what he was like around people he didn't know.

"I should, Im going to be late for, stuff." She mumbled under her breath as she smiled to Alex, a small, childish grin before it soon disappeared as she looked to Edward, keeping her head turned from him. She was fed up of whatever he was doing. If he was playing hard to get or even if he didn't like her, she didn't like how it messed with her head, She was going to say something to Edward as she parted her pale, peach lips but she gave up, her body posture relaxed slightly, although on the inside, she was far from it.

Edward looked towards Alex at his comment "Better to take things litrally then to take things lightly and make mistakes." He stated as he heard movement, he looked up again and saw Faith getting up, He raised he eyebrow at her excuse it was not even slightly believable. So he stated to her, metting he gaze squarely "You a terrible liar." he said matter-of-factly. before he cast his gaze to the floor and picked at the grass more vigorously.

"I don't see anyone complaining," She muttered angrily before she got up and let out a large sigh, before saying goodbye to Alex and Destin, before looking away from Edward and heading nowhere in particular, Edward was getting on her nerves, if she was a terrible liar surly he would be able to see that she liked him, it was small, probably some silly crush because of his good looks.

"Everyone makes mistakes," Alex replied flatly. He turned his face up at Faith, "I don't blame you," he said with a grin. He was going to add a rude comment about Edward but thought against it. It wasn't so much that he didn't want to say it to Edward, more the fact he knew Faith would hate him for it, so he just shrugged his shoulders. "Have fun doing...stuff,"

Edward stopped as she spoke he watched as she walked away leaving his bag were it Was Edward pushed of from the floor and strode over to Faith, gabbing he arm he spun her around to face him, his gaze cold "What is your problem? Your damn right annoying and obnoxious at times, So what is your problem?" He demanded his voice still retained the velevty tone. At that he let go of her wrist, looking towards her in expectation.

"What's your problem! I just needed to go! That was all! Call me a liar, you'll never understand me. Even if you try to, you will never know me. Call me annoying and obnoxious, but you're doing the same thing and it's p*ssing me off, If I am all those things then why do you still talk to me? Why did you come after me just now? Stop demanding, you don't have a right!" She snapped, gasping for some air as she clenched her hands in tight fists, holding herself back as she wanted to lash out at him, he made her so angry.

Edwads eyes narrowed "You want it that way then fine" He snapped his own temper flaring he used to have such control over his emotions now it had gone out of the window "If I'm p*ssing you off and i'f i'm obnoxious and annoying then Perhaps You and I should stay away from each other." He said simply, "So be it." He turned his back to her, it was for the best surely, he didn't trust himself with her, he hated arguing so surely it was best to avoid that?, he marched over to his bag by Alex and the other boy before he picked it up putting it on his shoulder her left walking to the school, maybe he'd find soemthing to do, he didn't look back inside he was just as fuming, he had never known anyone to affect him quite as strong, plus, leaving now, he would reduce the risk of hurting Faith with his 'power'.
